Pius IX 4396, date of Charter:  April 24, 1957

     The Knights of Columbus Pius IX Council #4396 is a local council serving the Lansdale and Hatfield areas of Pennsylvania for over half a century.   Members are primarily drawn from St. Stanislaus and St. Maria Goretti parishes; however, members from all areas are welcome.

Pius IX Council 4396 Meeting Times & Locations:

Regular Council Meetings are held in Classroom 6, St Maria Goretti Education Center, Hatfield, PA, on the first Thursday of each month at 8:00 pm.  A rosary is prayed at 7:30 pm prior to the meeting.

Officer Meetings are held at St Stanislaus Parish Center, Lansdale, PA, on the last Thursday of each month at 8:00 pm.

     Pius IX Council is the birthplace of the “Rose & Rosary” program.  Started by SK Bob Sweeney, this program has expanded exponentially to other councils across North America.  Contact: Brother Sweeney to learn more about this program [email].   

     Our council supports PA Veterans through the efforts of Brother Knight, Michael Bishop “Bish” Rieg, a founder of  the PA Hero Walk.   This program supports our Pennsylvania Veterans "One-Step-At-A-Time”.  All proceeds benefit Pennsylvania veterans.         Knights are Catholic men, 18 years of age and older, who are committed to making their community a better place, while supporting their Church.  Being a Knight is more than camaraderie; it is being involved with your community while enhancing your faith and protecting family.

        The Knights of Columbus is the world's largest Roman Catholic Fraternal Service organization. Founded in New Haven, CT in 1882 by Father Michael J. McGivney, it is named in honor of Christopher Columbus and dedicated to the principles of Charity, Unity, Fraternity, and Patriotism. There are more than 1.7 million members in 14,000 councils, with nearly 200 councils on college campuses.
